For the first time, the Dean of FEB UNESA Signed an MoA with Foreign Partners at the Judicium Events

The Faculty
of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Surabaya (FEB Unesa) held a
hybrid Yudisium Period I Year 2021 on Monday, February 02, 2020 at the 3rd
Floor Auditorium of the Ketintang Campus Dean Building.
The judicium is held online
and offline with strict protocols and runs solemnly. Faculty Leaders, Study
Programs, and students with academic and non-academic achievements attend
offline while other participants and invitees attend online via zoom media.
There is something different
about the implementation of the judiciary this time. This is because, in the
middle of the judicial procession, a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed
between the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Surabaya (FEB Unesa) and the Accounting Faculty of the MARA University of Technology (FA
UiTM).
In his remarks, Dean of FEB
Unesa Anang Kistyanto said that the initiation of this collaboration was
carried out in 2020 when the leadership of FEB Unesa made a visit to several
campuses in Malaysia.
The purpose of this
collaboration is to implement the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM)
program of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemdikbud).
"A year ago we made a
visit to FA UiTM together with faculty leaders to initiate cooperation. Alhamdulillah,
today we can sign an MoA with FA UiTM in the framework of collaborating on MBKM
implementation ". He explained.
In addition, this
collaboration is also expected to be able to meet the achievements of the
Ministry of Education and Culture's Main Performance Indicators (IKU) and
realize the Vision and Mission of FEB Unesa.
"This collaboration is
expected to meet the achievement of higher education main performance
indicators (IKU) targeted by the Ministry of Education and Culture and realize
the vision of FEB Unesa, namely to become a reputable Faculty of Economics and
Business in Southeast Asia in the Field of Economics, Economics and Business
Education in 2023" He concluded
Vice Dean for Academic
Affairs Susi Handayani hopes that this collaboration can improve the
performance of collaborative research with foreign universities and reputable
international publications. "In the academic field, this MoA is expected
to be able to improve the performance of collaborative research and lecturer publications
in reputable journals". He explained
"In 2020, there are 6
collaborative research titles with the UiTM Faculty of Business and Management
(FBM). Meanwhile in 2021 there will be 2 collaborative research titles with FA
UiTM, 4 articles of joint publication which are the output of collaboration
research in 2020, and 15 exchange students at FBM and FA UiTM ". He
concluded.
Meanwhile, Deputy Dean for
Student and Alumni Affairs Moch. Khoirul Anwar, who accompanied the dean at the
signing of the MoA, hopes that this collaboration can improve the performance
of student affairs.
"In the future, we will
collaborate with foreign partners for collaborative activities in the field of
international student affairs, for example organizing competitions in the fields
of talent, interests, reasoning and leadership training". Connect it.
The Head of the Accounting
Study Program, Rohmawati Kusumaningtyas, who signed the MoA file, is also ready
to welcome the implementation of this MoA with great optimism. This collaboration
is expected to be able to increase the IKU, especially the involvement of
lecturers who teach abroad and the number of students who take part in the
student exchange program.
"The collaboration
between FEB Unesa and FA UiTM is expected to increase the number of lecturer
and student exchanges. In the future, we will assign Accounting Study Program
lecturers to teach to partner campuses and send students to study at partner
campuses ". He explained. On the other hand, we hope that partner campus lecturers
will also teach at our place as visiting lecturers and visiting professors as
well as students who will study at our place. He concluded
